About Me:
I am currently a student at New Mexico State University, pursuing a degree in accounting. During my time at NMSU, I have been actively involved in Delta Sigma Pi as the current Vice President of Pledge Education and the former Marketing chair. These have helped me develop leadership and networking skills as well as connect with my community. Academically, I am a crimson scholar having maintained a steady GPA of 3.9. I’ve also had the opportunity to work in data entry which allowed me to apply my learning in real-world contexts. During my time at NMSU, I have enjoyed working on projects that involve analyzing financial statements and applying accounting concepts to solve real-world problems and I am excited to continue building my knowledge and preparing for future opportunities in the field.
Favorite DSP Pillar:
My favorite pillar is definitely brotherhood because I have made some amazing connections and friends through DSP that I otherwise probably wouldn't have.
My Leadership Role:
As the current Vice President of Pledge Education I am in charge of orienting new pledges and teaching them about Delta Sigma Pi, as well as offering guidance and support. When I reflected on my own experience as a pledge I remembered the warm and welcoming environment offered by the former VP of Pledge Education. That being said it was easy for me to decide to pursue this position because I was inspired to be a mentor and a friend to new brothers the same way that my pledge ed was for me.
